M.A. African Languages in Context
/ Joint European Masters in "African Languages in Context"
The Master African Languages in Context is a research-oriented program that focuses on theories and methods of cultural linguistics and multilingual practices. It allows students with a B.A. in African Languages & Cultures or a degree in a similar programme to improve their methodological skills and theoretical knowledge in the field of mono- and multilingual communication, language use and knowledge transfer in Africa. Graduates with an M.A. in African Languages in Context are well prepared for a position in research, education and consulting.
The two-years course starts in the winter term (October) and offers the possibility to study the period of one semester aborad at a European Partner University. It is fully modularized and based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).The languages of instruction are both English and German (depending on demand).
