100 Years of Sinology in Hamburg


In 1909, the first German chair for "East Asian languages and history" was established at the Hamburg Institute for Colonial Affairs. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of sinology in Hamburg, the Department for Chinese Language and Culture will host a variety of events in the AAI during the week from September 21 to 26, 2009, including:
