Summer School
Iranian Linguistics
August, 15th - September, 2nd 2011, Department of Iranian Studies, Universität Hamburg, Germany.
The general subjects of the summer school are:
- Early New Persian / Early Judaeo-Persian
- West Iranian Dialectology
- Typological and other approaches to linguistics, applied to Persian (and/or other Iranian languages)
- Terminology / the work of the Farhangestan
The summer school offers courses in Early New Persian, Language Documentation as well as Western Iranian Dialectology. In addition to these courses, there will be held lectures related to the general subjects. The programme is online now.
The Summer School is part of a scholarly cooperation between Iranian Linguistics of Bu Ali Sina University (Hamadan), University of Tehran and Universität Hamburg. The participants were appointed by one of the partner universities.
The cooperative project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) within its programme German-Arab / Iranian Higher Education Dialogue.
The Summer School will be hosted by the Institute of Iranian Studies at the Universität Hamburg.
