Our PI, Hannah-Lena Hagemann, spoke at a conference on “The Umayyads from East to West: New Perspectives” organised by the DFG Center for Advanced Study “RomanIslam – Center for Empire and Transcultural Studies” (Hamburg). Her talk was entitled “Talking ‘bout a Revolution – The Rhetoric of Rebellion against Umayyad Rule”.
