International Workshop "Cataloguing Beta Israel Manuscripts: Current Trends and Beyond"

On 7 October 2024, Sophia Dege-Müller is hosting an international workshop entitled "Cataloguing Beta Israel Manuscripts: Current Trends and Beyond."

Invited speakers are Aaron Butts (Universität Hamburg), Ted Erho (Universität Hamburg and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München), Selamawit Fesha (Tel Aviv Universtiy), Steven Kaplan (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Kay Kaufman Shelemay (Harvard University), Dalit Rom-Shiloni (Tel Aviv University), Anaïs Wion (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (IMAF)).

Venue is the Hiob Ludolf Centre for Ethiopian and Eritrean Studies, Alsterterrasse 1, Rm 128. The event is closed to the public.

The event is funded under the Excellence Strategy of the Federal Government and the Länder.
