Nesina Grütter, SNF Starting Grant Professor at Université de Fribourg, visits the BeInf project for a short visit. Her project “MiTAnIm: Migration and Transformation of Culturally Encoded Animal Imagery in the Septuagint and Its Ethiopic and Syriac Daughter Versions - Translation Studies and Digitized Textual Criticism Approaches for Hebrew Bible Studies,” which is supported by a Starting Grant from the Schweizerischer Nationalfonds (SNF), investigates the Syriac and Ethiopic versions of the Septuagint—a topic also of interest to BeInf.
