Saints in Christian Ethiopia: Literary Sources and Veneration

International Workshop. Hamburg, 28-29 April 2012

Summary
The second international workshop convened by the team of the project Ethio-SPARE: Cultural Heritage of Christian Ethiopia. Salvation, Preservation, Research was dedicated to the veneration of saints in Ethiopia. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, from the Vitae of Egyptian saints in Ethiopian context to the hagiographies of local saints to the contemporary veneration practices. An update on the progress of the Ethio-SPARE project activities was also provided.
