Overview of our degree courses
Int. B.A. Sprachen und Kulturen Südostasiens
The duration of the international bachelor's degree Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asia is eight semesters. The language of instruction is mostly German. Students choose between Thai Studies (Thai language), Vietnam Studies (Vietnamese language) or Austronesian Studies (Indonesian language). The bachelor's degree includes a semester abroad in the region to be studied. The degree qualifies for numerous professional fields - from culture and media to science and business - or for a postgraduate master’s degree. No previous knowledge is required to study this degree.

Sprachen und Kulturen Südostasiens (minor)
The minor subject Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asia offers the opportunity to acquire sound language skills in Thai, Vietnamese or Indonesian.

Int. M.A. Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asia
With a duration of 4 semesters, this international master's degree also includes a semester abroad.

M.A. Buddhist Studies
Students of this master's degree also study for 4 semesters. The programme brings together students from five different regional specializations: India, Tibet, China, Japan, and Thailand.
