Research Focus:
- Philology and dialectology of the Iranian languages in general, and of the ‘Southwestern’ Iranian languages in particular, with a special focus on Lori
- Historical development of Persian from Old to Middle and New Persian
- Achaemenid Inscriptions, especially the Old Persian and Achaemenid Elamite versions
- Elamite Language and Old Persian survivals in the Achaemenid Elamite texts
Former Projects:
- Seven Dialects from the Zagros Periphery: Varieties of Lori, Kurdish, Laki, and Gorani (The Academy of Persian Language and Literature, published)
- New research on the Elamite, Old Persian, and Babylonian versions of the Achaemenid inscriptions of Susa in the framework of the joint research carried on by DARIOSH Project (University of Tuscia and ISMEO, forthcoming)
