The new leaflet is a comprehensive introduction of the department's unique M.A. program. It introduces some core contents of the program such as the modules Literature and Media, Culture and Society, Theory and Methods as well as the option of studying one semester abroad in Southeast Asia. Potential applicants also find information about future career options in diverse fields ranging from business to journalism and academia.
The leaflet also emphasizes the benefits of studying at the University of Hamburg and in Hamburg as one of Germany's most vibrant cities and an international metropolis as a big plus. The cover picture of the leaflet expresses the diversity of the program and blends the "traditional" with the "contemporary". Not only are M.A. students of this program dealing with texts and topics from Southeast Asia's ancient past, but contemporary Southeast Asia also receives much attention, especially in the context of the region's rapid development and growing importance to the EU and Germany.
This leaflet was created by the M.A. students Pakorn Duriyaprasit, Julian Huesmann, and Rangga Eka Saputra and layouted by the University's graphics department. Thanks goes to them for their input, creativity, and perseverance.
