Academic Writing Contest 2023

Topic: Thai Culture between Tradition and Modernity
Eligible persons:
- The students of B.A. or M.A. levels who are studying disciplines related to Thai Studies at universities in Germany.
Competition rules:
- Entries must be written in German or English between 1000-1500 words without footnotes and list of references.
Assessment criteria:
- The presentation has a clear purpose and structure.
- The content is complete and consistent with the topic.
- The content sequence is interesting and easy to understand.
- The information provided is clear and reliable with footnotes and list of references.
Reward:
- 1st prize 300 Euro
- 2nd prize 250 Euro
- 3rd prize 150 Euro
Announcement of results and awarding:
The announcement of the results and the award ceremony will take place on the Thai-Tag (Saturday, June 3, 2023). The three finalists will be informed about the results two weeks before the Thai-Tag. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winner must be able to collect their prize in person. Their travel expenses will be paid (Deutsche Bahn, 2. Klasse).
