On September 11, 2023, the online tool Docata for doctorates will be introduced in the Faculty of Humanities. The online tool enables simplified administrative channels and information throughout the doctoral phase for doctoral candidates and reviewers.
With the introduction of Docata, the administration of doctoral examination procedures in the doctoral office of the faculty will be converted and digitized. For applicants, this means that applications for admission to doctoral studies will in future be submitted online via Docata. With Docata, doctoral candidates who have already been admitted will receive secure access to all information and documents for their doctoral procedure. Reviewers and members of the examination committees will receive important information on examination procedures and access to the dissertation as well as to the records in Docata.
Please note: During the transition phase from August 17 to September 10, 2023, no applications for admission to the doctoral procedure can be submitted. Applications must be submitted via Docata from September 11, 2023.
You can already find more information in the Docata FAQs. The faculty's doctoral website is currently being updated and a handout is being made available. If you have any questions, the colleagues from the Doctoral Office are available at promotionsbuero.gw"AT"uni-hamburg.de.
