"Filipino (Tagalog)" Language Courses in Winter Semester 2025/26

In winter semester 2025/26, Mr. Vincent Wongaiham-Petersen will again be offering his interesting language courses "Filipino 1 (Tagalog)", "Filipino 3 (Tagalog)", and "Exploring the Tapestry of Contemporary Filipino (Tagalog) A".

• "Filipino 1 (Tagalog)" is suitable for all beginners without any previous knowledge of Filipino who have at least a B1 level in German, as the learning materials will be in German.
• "Filipino 3 (Tagalog)" additionally builds on the skills taught in "Filipino 1" (taught in winter semesters) and "Filipino 2" (taught in summer semesters), and it is essential that students have a command of the fundamentals covered in those.
• "Exploring the Tapestry of Contemporary Filipino (Tagalog) A" is designed as an optional supplementary course for those who have completed at least "Filipino 2", and it deepens practical language skills through contemporary media, including songs, stories, news, and advertisements.

All these courses will be open to all University of Hamburg students of adequate previous knowledge (see above); only in the unlikely event of overbooking, students from our department would be given priority.
