Cooperated with and financially supported by the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Munich, and the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate, the Hamburger Gesellschaft für Thaiistik e.V. (HGT) and the Department for Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asia organized "Thai Culture Day" ("Thai Tag 2023") at the Asia Africa Institute (AAI), Universität Hamburg, on 3 June 2023.

The event had the great honor to welcome the Ambassador of Thailand to the Federal Republic of Germany (H.E. Dr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra), Consul General (Ms. Prapenpim Prachonpachanuk), Honorary Consul (Mr. Stefan Karsten Krohn), professors and lecturers from universities in Germany, Royal Thai embassy officers, students, and other participants.

In the afternoon there were three parallel sessions: "Career Opportunities", "Book Launch", and "Thai Massage." The winner of the "Academic Writing Contest 2023" on the topic "Thai Culture between Tradition and Modernity" was announced: Lucas Ice Pfeffer from Universität Hamburg with his essay "Resonating Harmonies: Thai Fusion Music as a Sonic Expression of Cultural Synthesis." Besides, three traditional Thai dances and a Thai instrumental music show were part of the event.
