On 19 January 2022 Solomon Gebreyes Beyene wil be speaking on the topic " Representations of the history of Beta ʾƎsrāʾel (Ethiopian Jews) in the royal Chronicle of King Śarḍa Dǝngǝl (r.1563‒1597): A Historical Commentary" at the conference on "The kingdom of Gideonites: The Political Autonomy of the Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews) and Their Wars with the Christian Solomonic Kingdom (15th-17th centuries)" organized by the Ethiopian Jewry Heritage Centre.
