Comparative Oriental Manuscript Studies
The Research Networking Programme Comparative Oriental Manuscript Studies of the European Science Foundation was conceived by the directors of the Hiob Ludolf Centre for Ethiopian Studies Alessandro Bausi and Siegbert Uhlig in order to encourage academic dialogue in Oriental and manuscript studies. It is coordinated from the HLCES by Eugenia Sokolinski.
Nearly one hundred scholars from 13 countries are connected through the COMSt network. In close cooperation, they aim at bringint the different fields of Oriental manuscript research to a comparable level and achieve a higher academic research transparency. Several members of the HLCES are actively involved in the COMSt network activities.
