On 5 July 2022, within the session 524 On the Borders of Jewish Identity: Cultural Encounters Between Christians and the Betä Ǝsra’el (Ethiopian Jews) of the Leeds International Medieval Congress, Solomon Gebreyes Beyene will be presenting on the “Representations of the history of Beta ʾƎsrāʾel (Ethiopian Jews) in the royal Chronicle of King Śarḍa Dǝngǝl (r.1563‒1597): A Historical Commentary” and Sophia Dege-Müller on "Expanding borders through the cross – Missionary activities of Orthodox Christian Saints among the Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews)".
