New Book: Humour in Modern Ethiopia

Hewan S. Marye’s book titled Jesting the Lion: Humour in Modern Ethiopia has recently been published in Äthiopistische Forschungen. A record of public opinion and cultural history since the 1800s, the book explores Ethiopia’s modern period by looking at humour and its value in state and society relations.
