On 1 November 2023, Prof. Dr. Alessandro Bausi assumes the Chair of Ethiopian Studies at the Dipartimento di Storia Antropologia Religioni Arte Spettacolo of the Sapienza University of Rome, with Prof. Dr. Aaron Butts taking over the directorship of the Hiob Ludolf Centre for Ethiopian and Eritrean Studies.
