Meeting of the Project KEWAKIBT [CONSTELLATIONS]21-29 May 2026

Over 21-29 May, the HLCEES hosts a project meeting of KEWAKIBT [CONSTELLATIONS]: Une prosopographie numérique des érudits islamiques en Éthiopie, 2025-2027, which is devoted to the study of Islamic scholarly and saintly figures in Ethiopia through biographical compilations and dictionaries produced by modern Ethiopian Muslim scholars. Participants include Éloi Ficquet (EHESS), Alessandro Gori (Copenhagen University), and Muna Abubaker (Addis Ababa University). KEWAKIBT is funded by the French Institute of Islamology.
