Events
Every semester, Austronesian Studies section organizes academic, social and/or cultural events that take place in the afternoon or evening. All students and members of the public who attend these events have the opportunity to learn more about the region and deepen their knowledge of Indonesia and the Malay regions outside the regular course and seminar program. Most events take place at the Asia-Africa Institute of the University of Hamburg. We organize film screenings, lectures and discussions, "Southeast Asia Day" (in collaboration with Vietnamese studies and Thai studies), concerts and excursions for students.
