Solomon Gebreyes Beyene attends the International Medieval Congress in Leeds (1-3 July 2024); he takes part in a round table discussion 'Medieval Chronicles in Global Perspective (1 July); organizes the sessions 'Medieval Africa I: Religion and Politics; II: Rebellion, exploration, expansion' (2 July) and 'Medieval Ethiopia II: Saints, Mysticism and Resilience (3 July); and presents a paper 'Royal Power Crisis in the Christian Kingdom of Ethiopia during the Reign of King Śarḍa Dǝngǝl, r. 1563-1597: As Recounted in His Royal Chronicle' (3 July).
