"Indonesian II" language course
Indonesian II (Bahasa Indonesia II)

- 4 SWS ("Semesterwochenstunden": hours of lessons per week)
The "Indonesian language II course (Bahasa Indonesia II)" consists of course II A (in the winter semester) and II B (in the summer semester). The prerequisite for taking part in this course is the successful completion of the "Indonesian Language Course I" or a proof of appropriate language skills.
The course meets twice a week for 2x45 minutes each time. Additional tutorials are not available for this course. However, it is highly recommended that students meet regularly with an Indonesian language tandem partner where possible.
The aim of course is to develop Indonesian language competencies through the active learning of standard Indonesian both verbally and in writing. At the end of the course, the students should be able to write informative and descriptive texts on topics from their own area of interest. Students will also read traditional stories from different regions in Indonesia to deepen their understanding of traditional cultural values. At the end of the course the students will be able to present a story orally without a printed text, either alone or as a short sketch in a small group.
